I'm not a diligent follower of current events. Typically there is so much hypocrisy and irrationality it makes my cow brain bleed and I don't enjoy anything but saliva dripping down my throat. But this was an especially interesting week, highlighted by Bush addressing the United Nations and Ahmadinejad debating with Columbia University. These two men have balls of hardened medal for being able to go into the dragons den and speak their pathetic minds. My personal Kudos go out to Muhammad because it obviously takes more courage to do what he did. And in comparison to our team manager, Georgie, Muhammad sounded like a seasoned scholar.
The main proposal from Bush was to spread "Freedom" to all the corners of the world, privatize the corners, mandate health insurance, and then further enrich the market by encouraging debt. Ahmadinejad simply wanted Americans to unplug from FOX news and have them take Iran seriously. Then Ahmadinejad started bragging about the fact that homosexuals stay in the closet in Iran. My respect for Ahmadinejad grew for he obviously is a quick thinker and knew exactly how to drive the screw into the CBNetwerk audience. Unfortunately for him, I'm probably the only person on the planet who has watched both CBN and The Semi-supreme Islamic Leader pump their nonsense.
Everyone at Columbia was drooling over Ahmadinejad's words, as they waited for him to say that Israel is an illegitimate State. The rude professor who questioned the Muslim tried to have him articulate his denial of the holocaust. Ahmadinejad evaded it with political science tactics by saying that further investigation should always be encouraged. That passively insinuates the Cui Bono postulate for the Jews forging the holocaust. It's a fact many Jews of mid 20th century Europe did delight in the holocaust because it stimulated public approval of Zionism. However, Cui Bono is not proof of anything, and the fact of the Holocaust occurrence needs no debate. 6 Million people simply do not get raptured into thin air. Arguing against the fact of the holocaust hurts the true question: Is Israel legitimate? My opinion is that it is not, and the Jews and Hooters should come back home to the United States, Germany or Russia, for the sake of world peace. The Islamic world would not take that as a sign of weakness. If it were done right, they would look upon it as a symbol of respect. Something the "one billion terrorists" rarely get from Christendom.
In Bush's diatribe there was one phrase that caught my attention out of the mindless hundred thousand dollar cookie cutter speech. The only way to really get anything from the Commander in Chief is to pay attention to his sentence inflection. He said, "In the long run, the best way to defeat extremists is to defeat their dark ideology with a more hopeful vision -- " Perhaps I read too much into the sound of his voice, but to me "a more hopeful vision" is Dubua talk for good Christian folk. Lord knows they're a group thats ideology is moderate enough that an adherent need nothing other than belief and snake oil. He said, "the United Nations must reform its own Human Rights Council" I find it odd that the writers used the word "must". When a political leader uses that word, it has such a dictatorship connotation. I suppose it was used to illustrate how the United States are so much better at spreading peace over the world than the United Nations. After all, democracy shouldn't be free, "We believe that Japan is well-qualified for permanent membership on the Security Council".
The George W preaches for freedom but he doesn't even know what freedom is. Absolute freedom isn't desirable for any society. Freedom used in an assertive context is neutral. Obviously people shouldn't be free to stalk or masturbate in public. The stalking issue is quite obvious as stalking does cause the target harm. Public masturbation on the other hand is a behavior that at first seems wrong, until US hippies remember good old Jim Morrison rubbing one out in front of thousands of fans. He denied it for criminal reasons but we all know that man had balls of alcoholic steel. Ahmadinejad mentioned that Iran didn't have the gay problem America has. They also don't have the Paris Hilton, NASA and X games problem ether. The United States culture is one of massive polarization. You're ether a proud sheep, a confused sheep or a Individualist on team Human. Political representative democracy doesn't need to be forced upon any State. Electing leaders is the natural outcome of collective action. No society that suppresses the masses will be able to maintain it's existence. If we force democracy on a people that aren't ready for it, what we do is legitimize mob rule on an international level.
Inevitably westerners point to the oppression of Islamic women and the burkas they sport. Cloths are an interesting issue because they can viewed as functional, expressive and behavioral. Throughout the United States Nudists freedoms are being oppressed. So why is walking naked around the city wrong? Who is harmed by that behavior? Although I wouldn't like it because I enjoy using my imagination at guessing what's under garments, the only objective thing would be the seats in public places. A doily dispenser would clean up that issue. It's only wrong because the majority of the citizens in the community find it offensive. Answer: Direct Democracy for issues that are relevant to individual communities. Iran obviously has people enjoying gay anal sex. They just don't do it on the side walk. Their laws are by intelligent standards infantile, because they infringe on the freedom of consenting individuals behind the walls of their homes, but so are ours. What exactly has to happen before the westerners see the hypocrisy? How big does the mirror have to be?
