Reevaluating my beliefs....

Perhaps I'm wrong with my assumption of the "Collective Species Spirit" and the ending vote for collective salvation or deletion. I know that there are agents that are intervening in my life. But maybe it's only the residual identity of the loveies that remain, only those individuals that can live in the afterlife with the shame of their sins. Perhaps they are the individuals that achieve non deletion in our universe and ultimately join the consciousness of god at the end of our universe.

I know that I've felt the presence and had the help of my Grandfather, but I've been unable to connect with my Grandmother. Back to the drawing board??? Oh gezzzz... Speculation till I fall off that finale cliff. But things are getting clearer and clearer as my thoughts unfold. I do anticipate an end, I can't imagine that this supernatural intervention at this point in history, scientific advancement and technological development can get much more intense.

I had a dream a few years back that the only crime committed in the future will be creating more art because it devalues existing art. Chew on that mohter folker.

thimscool - "but another chapter in the unending unfolding"

Mark my materialist words, There will be an end to our world.

Instant karmas gonna get you
Gonna knock you right on the head
You better get yourself together
Pretty soon youre gonna be dead
What in the world you thinking of
Laughing in the face of love
What on earth you tryin to do
Its up to you, yeah you

I'm still good friends with all my ex lovers. When I share my heart, I don't let that connection ever die.

To change the subject, I will state that I have not heard from any of my previous loves in years. I'm still friends with various women that I dated long ago, but the ones that captured my heart are no longer part of my world.

Being friends with a former love would be just too painful for me.

I recognize that your mileage may vary.

I am no expert on Hinduism, by any stretch. But my Hindu friends have pointed out that the Christian world view (or the Muslim, Ancient Greek, etc.) is but another chapter in the unending unfolding. And they said with a straight face that it may absolutely be the law of the current aeon, not to be trifled with if you hate pain and suffering... but ultimately just another passing story in the endless series.

Thimscool - any Hindu will tell you that my belief set (and most belief sets) are compatible with their ontology..... .....Thimscool - “for Jesus to decide that I merit a pass.”

????????WTF??????????

Thimscool - morality is the great mission

Well at least we agree on something. Though you'll have to though in love and art.

Thimscool - There is certainly moral relativism

I'm sorry but I think that when we loss all ignorance, which will never happen while we're breathing O2, there will not be any question to what was right and what was wrong (no Jesus necessary). The golden rule can never be perfected on earth because non of us living being has total knowledge. But the golden rule is the best ruler we'll ever have to go buy as mere Humans.

I do not believe that heaven (the Kingdom of God) is bliss on tap. And I do think that hell is deletion.

I am certainly not a Buddhist, but any Hindu will tell you that my belief set (and most belief sets) are compatible with their ontology.

In any case, I do believe that Jesus was the earthly incarnation of the great I AM, and that morality is the great mission. It is not "culture relativism" to suggest that there are levels of immorality, because there is no culture on earth that thinks outside of the prism of good and evil. There is certainly moral relativism, and the golden rule is an excellent sumary of why moral relativism is no excuse for doing evil.

Thimscool - in fact it is God that controls that destination.

We will never agree. I don't believe in the destination you believe in. Heaven is not bliss on tap, it is our collective spirit joining god. I don't believe in hell, I believe in deletion. The choice is ours and I'm at peace with that. I'm going to do all I can to influence our collective choice.

Thimscool - Earth, reborn out of the crucible, with most of us stranded there again.

Are you sure your not a Buddhist?

Chew myself? I used myself as an example for the logic. Odds are that Jesus will not give me a pass.

Don't be ashamed at your failure to process the logic, Robert (assuming that is why you're acting sullen, Sutton). We are all conditioned by this "faith alone" bullshit in America. But it is against the plain meaning of the words and sometimes it just takes a second to identify the blind spot.
